Köppen climate type:
The granitic mylonite of Guomang-Co is exposed approximately 6 km east of Guomang Village in Xainza County, central Tibet. Tectonically, it is situated near the Shiquanhe-Nam Co Ophiolitic Mélange Zone (SNMZ), within the central part of the Lhasa terrane. Mesozoic strata dominate to the north of Guomang-Co, while Paleozoic strata are predominantly exposed to the south. The Nyainqentanglha Group is distributed as a belt-like manner in the NWW direction in the area. It is a rock group with basement characteristics in Lhasa terrane, which is formed by the oldest sedimentary processes and generally has undergone metamorphism within the amphibolite facies-granulite facies. Its lithology includes biotite granodiorite gneiss, biotite plagiogneiss, greenstone plagioclase amphibolite, diopside marble, feldspar-quartzite, quartzite, quartz schist, granitic gneiss, slate, and phyllite.
