Numerous granite intrusions are observed regionally, including the Early Cretaceous Guojialing-style monzonite granite, in which all orebodies are hosted. The ore-bearing structure is predominantly filled with pyritic sericite cataclasites, quartz veins, and intermediate to mafic dykes. Mineralization is associated with auriferous pyritic and sericitized quartz veins, accompanied by subordinately fine vein-style and disseminated-style ores in proximity to the primary ore veins.
Exploration has identified multiple lodes, including the Pikoupo, Luohuagou, and Muzhugou zones that control the No. 103-ⅣP, No. 103-ⅣL, and No. 8-1 orebodies, respectively. These strike northeastwards at 30°, 40°, and 10–50°, respectively and dip from 70–80°, 68–75°, and 50–80° southeastwards respectively. They have been intersected at depths exceeding 1.2 km, and are over modest thicknesses (0.4–1.3 m) with gold grades ranging from 1.7 to 34.1 g/t and averaging at 6.4 g/t.
Four distinct stages of mineralization. From oldest to youngest they are: Pyrite-quartz stage (Stage 1) is characterized by the development of milky quartz accompanied by small quantities of coarse-grained, euhedral pyrite. Stage 2 is composed of smoky quartz-pyrite veins, usually formed along the milky quartz veins of stage 1. Quartz-polymetallic sulfide stage (Stage 3): This stage is characterized by the occurrence of a large number of polymetallic sulfides. Quartz-calcite stage (Stage 4): Defined by veins of quartz and calcite, this stage signifies the termination of gold mineralization.
