The Puy de Ténuzet cinder cone belongs to the Holocene volcanic group of the "Chaîne des Puys". It has almost been wiped out by mining activity through a set of two quarries, now merged. A variety of fumarolized areas have been exposed, and showcase a large set of typical secondary minerals.
