Name:
The name pozzolana is derived from one of the primary deposits of volcanic ash used by the Romans, at Pozzuoli, in Italy.
Pozzolana are naturally occurring pozzolans of volcanic origin, being silica and alumina rich, vitic volcanic ash or vitric tuffs.
