This area is 200 metres west of the Southern Cross South Road, and 1 kilometre south-west of the Transvaal Mine. It is approximately 7 kilometres south-west of Southern Cross.

Little remains in the area, apart from scrub, and a few old shafts. The area was mined between 1901 to 1912 to 30 metres below the surface producing 64 186 tonnes of ore at 7.30 g/t yielding 15 789 ounces of gold. Near surface mineralisation strikes for 300 metres and a width variably 5 to 34 metres wide, and at least 130 metres deep.
