The Paris Gold Mine is located approximately 35 kilometres east south east of Widgiemooltha, on the south side of the road to the Binneringie homestead. It was originally known as French and Thompson's Saltbush leases, although no further information could be found.

In 1920, Paris Gold Mine Company was floated in Adelaide to take up a 12 month option over the mine. Meanwhile just to the south, another company had an option over the Paris South Gold Mine, but soon abandoned it to focus attention on the Observation Gold Mine, 1 kilometre to the north. After only 1 month it abandoned this as well.

The Paris Mine at the time contained 5 shafts and 2 costeans. Gold was said to be erratic in a quartz, schist, jasper lode jumbled by faults

The Paris Gold Mine Company quietly let its option expire, and focussed on other gold deposits elsewhere in Western Australia, with similar disappointing results.

At some point the deposit was excavated as an open pit. This produced 220,000 ounces of gold at 11.1 g/t. The state of the workings would indicate this may have occurred several decades ago.

GBF Paris Operations proposed to develop the deposit by working the existing Paris Pit via underground mining and to develop a new HHH Pit.
