Active granulite quarry.

Kobylí hora quarry is an open quarry on the slopes of Kobylí hora in the town of Prachatice, about two kilometers northeast of the center. The eastern part of the quarry extends into the cadastre of the village Žernovice. Gray-green granulite with an accessory occurrence of tourmaline and biotite is mined here. The quarry is owned and operated by Kámen a písek, spol. The deposit has dimensions of approximately 830 × 560 × 110 m. By 2018, the annual production was 200,000 tons.
