A former borax mine located in Tick Canyon, off Mint Canyon, about 12 miles (ca. 19 km) North of Saugus.
Mineralization is hosted in limestone and shale.
Local structures include NE-trending folds modified by cross faults and longitudinal faults: interbedded nature of volcanics and sediments (competent & incompetent) contribute to the structural complexity in the area.
Related tectonic structures include the basin and range province.
Production data are found in Gaye and Hoffman (1954).
