A former coal mine in Hückelhoven, Heinsberg District.
Started in 1914 and closed on 30th June 1997, between 1960 and 1997 considered the most modern coal mine in Europe.
From the six shafts, only Shaft 3 is preserved as a mining monument.
On the currently mostly cultivated dumps, it is possible to find some of the typical species for coal mine dumps.
