The southernmost point of the Vesterøya peninsula, Folehavna is a populary outdoor and recreational rea in Sandefjord. Folehavna contains ruins of a German World War fort that was constructed by the Germans in 1941 during the German occupation of Norway.
Several outcrops of syenite pegmatite embedded in larvikite are observed in the area, some were blasted by the Germans during constructions of tunnels and concrete gun pits.These are mostly refilled to day. Other syenite pegmatites are outcrops at several places along the seashore.
