This was written before:
Note: the cerianite specimen was according to Neumann & Bergstøl (1963) found at a dyke 600 m east of the Kåbuland farm. According to Frigstad (1999) this locality is identical with Kåbuland 3.

However, Ole Fridtjof Frigstad (1968) described Kåbuland as being 750 m north of the farmhouse, and NOT 600 m E of the farmhouse.

It is improbable that he can have mistaken this quarry for the one (Kåbuland 4) where thalenite-(Y) was found in the 1930's. His description shows that he visited this quarry personally.

The altitude map shows at least one more quarry north of the given coordinates:

58.53775°N 7.91241°Ø

An aerial picture of 1972 proofs that there had been, or still was activity in that year.

Another place is a possible quarry, but the altitude map is inconclusive:

58.53735°N 7.91159°Ø

There are vague signs of possible activity on the aerial picture, but this one needs confirmation through field work.

Stensrud (2009) reports about the existence of two more quarries 150-200 m NW of Kåbuland 3. He listed them as Kåbuland 3b. Altitude map data is inconclusive, but these are potential candidates:
