Uranium prospect at 1150 m asl, just below State Road SS 25. About 130 m of galleries were excavated at the end of the 1950s by the mining company Somiren.

The uraninite-sulphide mineralisation forms a layer up to 20 cm thick concordant with the host rock schistosity.

In a crystallographic study on Italian uraninites, 25 samples from three localities of the Ambin Massif (Molaretto, Grange della Valle, and Monte Seguret) were investigated: their average lattice parameter is a = 5.474 Å, the highest for Italian uraninites (Garavelli, 1962).
