A gold mine right next to the town of Silverton. It was notable for having slight mercury values. Some small retorts were built nearby but barely ran. They were destroyed in recent years. The development consists of around 1000' of workings.

Note: Huntting (1956) has a lot of confusion with this mine and the district as a whole. His report of "5 miles of workings" is wildly exaggerated. It was owned at one time by the same people as the Hoodoo and Copper Independent Mines, but is not the same mine at all.
Structure: Strong Shear S60-70e, Dip 60-70s Accreted Terranes

Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc

Commodity: Gold mine

Deposit: 1 vein with arsenopyrite, 1 vein with au+ag+cu. Mercury in some workings also see old mining journals and minerals yearbooks cited in huntting, 1956 ; 2 unpub rept see also mrds record m025636

Deposit type: Polymetallic veins

Development: Dmea contract recommended, denied in 1953

Geology: Protolith age of rocks of eastern melange belt is jur-cret
