The lodes (North, Middle and South) are the same as those at Belstone Mine which have been heaved by movement on the Sticklepath fault.
There is a barren crosscourse in the western part of the sett.
North lode was the most extensively worked from Engine Shaft, which was sunk to 170 fathoms
The mine raised 3752 tons of copper ore between 1901-9 and was prospected again in 1951.
The dumps contain axinite, actinolite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and pyrite.
