In crystaline limestone.

The mine was opened some time prior to 1883. It is reported by a resident of Forester Falls that the old pits are near the south boundary of the lot. (ARV53)

Several openings have been made on a limestone band containing apatite. Production of about one ton of apatite was reported in 1883.
