On the edge of the forest and vineyards are old iron and manganese mines.
The first document dates from the 18th century, but the work probably started earlier.

Not far from the first mine, in the vineyards, were rounded rocks of massive quartz but it is impossible to connect them to a vein. In these rocks, from 1 to 30 kg or more, were found bismuth minerals; bismuthinite or emplectite, eulytine and petitjeanite (N. Meisser analysis). This is the first occurrence of petitjeanite of France (Y. Dontenville).
