Colera is located between Llançà and the French border, just north of Cap de Creus ("Cape Cross"). The soil consists mainly of schists, more or less heavily altered by hydrothermal activity that reaches its maximum at the Cala Rovellada ("Rusty Bay"). Above Colera, there lays the ancient site of Sant Miquel de Colera, from where Gold has been noted. However, the major part of Gold is non visible!
