Name for being the F analogue of pyromorphite.
The F analogue of pyromorphite and hydroxylpyromorphite.
Compare fluorphosphohedyphane.
Known for some time, finally approved from Russian locality in 2022.
Previously only detected as a Cl-rich grain (F:Cl ~ 1.3:1) in a polished section (Mikl and Kolitsch, 2014). Also as zoned aggregates (around fluorapatite) that are, in part, fairly close to the end-member composition, from a locality in SE Asia (Kolitsch et al., to be published).
Probably more common, especially in Cl-poor and F-rich environments.
Compare fluorphosphohedyphane.
