For Jabir ibn Hayyan (b. ?, d. ~806-816), chemist during the Islamic Golden Age. Works attributed to him contain the earliest known systematic classification of chemical substances. His work was also foundational to our understanding of the chemical compositions of minerals.
The chemistry of hayyanite is almost identical to that of sterryite.
