Name:
Named after Markus Wiklund, born 1969, and Stefan Wiklund, born 1972, who jointly found the mineral; they are well-known Swedish mineral collectors.
New structure type. Chemically somewhat similar to hereroite. The mineral is associated, i.a., with a disordered wiklundite-like species.
The structure has 5 polyhedral layers, comprising:
- Mn2+-bearing octahedra, edge-sharing to form trimers and joined together by SiO4 tetrahedra
- Fe3+(H2O)6 octahedra + AsO3 triangular pyramids
- corner-sharing silicate and Mn2+O4 tetrahedra
- Mn2+Cl6 octahedra and Pb2+(OH)3Cl6 polyhedra
The structure has 5 polyhedral layers, comprising:
- Mn2+-bearing octahedra, edge-sharing to form trimers and joined together by SiO4 tetrahedra
- Fe3+(H2O)6 octahedra + AsO3 triangular pyramids
- corner-sharing silicate and Mn2+O4 tetrahedra
- Mn2+Cl6 octahedra and Pb2+(OH)3Cl6 polyhedra
