Type Occurrence of BosoiteHide

General Appearance of Type Material:
Occurs as epitaxial intergrowths on chibaite. Platy shapes parallel to {0001} with individual crystals about 10-50 µm thick and 50-300 µm in diameter.
Place of Conservation of Type Material:
Type material is deposited in the collections of the National Museum of Nature and Science, Amakubo, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan, registered number NMS-M43775, and the Tohoku University Museum, Aoba, Sendai, Japan, mineral collection specimen A-153
Geological Setting of Type Material:
In small quartz and calcite veins partly developed at fault planes in tuffaceous sandstone and mudstone.
