Not to be confused with the Hudson Bay Mine (aka Rusty Lake Mine) in Leith Township, Gowganda area.
A silver mine located in Lot 6 Con. VI. Discovered in 1903 and closed in 1920. Produced 6,450,000 oz. Ag and 186,000 lb. Cobalt.

Mineralization is in carbonate (mainly dolomite) veins cutting diabase.

Note: Ferrisymplesite is very rare. On the surface it looks identical to scorodite which is very common. Ferrisymplesite differs from scorodite in that it has a fibrous structure so if you break open one of these brown crusts or masses and it does not have a fibrous structure it is most likely just scorodite. Other than this the only way to tell the two apart is by XRD.
