Newporth Beach is a small beach located between Swanpool and Maenporth. It can be accessed by a path down the cliff branching off the coastal footpath.
A small lead lode outcrops on the beach and there is evidence of some trial workings although it would appear that nothing of economic importance was found.
It would appear that interaction of the sea water with exposed lead sulphide minerals has given rise to the development of some secondary chlorides.
Owing to the seclusion of the beach it has been used as an unofficial naturists beach.
