A former Fe occurrence/mine located in secs. 20, 21 & 29, T1S, R13E, SBM, about 7.3 km ENE of New Dale on the N side of the Pinto Mountains (22 air miles E from Twentynine Palms), on private land. Owned by D. Rhea Igo (estate), Maude Igo Marcus Pluth (estate) and Carrie and R. H. Sayers. Operated by the Ferro Company, George McDonald, H. Evan Roberts and H.B. Alexander. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granitoid rocks. The ore body strikes N and dips 60W at a width of 4.57 meters and a length of 365.76 meters. Controls for ore emplacement include fissures and brecciated zones. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface openings comprised of open cuts.

Analytical data results: Assays from 20 samples averaged 67.27% Fe. Other assay reports show 51.62 to 65.18% Fe.
