A former lode Au mine located in secs. 11, 12 & 13, T16N, R8E, MDM, about 1/3 mile W of Nevada City, E of Providence Mine Road, S of Deer Creek near the sewerage treatment plant. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is hosted in granite and slate. The ore body strikes NE and dips SE at a thickness of 1.52 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with a l of 1,097.28 meters and an overall depth of 533.4 meters and are comprised of crosscuts, stopes and 11 drifts.

Production data are found in: MacBoyle (1918).
