The initial work on this property was performed by Universal Silicates'
Ltd. (Mr. P. J. Dwyer), in 1919, and further mining was conducted by the
Mount Eagle Feldspar Company, and the Consolidated Feldspar Company,
of Toronto, between 1920 and 1926. The mine has been idle since 1926,
with the exception of a minor amount of stripping at the No. 3 pit by Mr.
James Campbell, of Hybla, in 1930.
Work has been conducted on three separate showings on the property.
The main pit is an open-cut carried into the side of a ridge and is 50 feet long, 20 feet wide and 50 feet high at the face. From the face of the cut, a tunnel has been driven for a distance of 125 feet. The work has been done on a dyke of coarse graphic granite containing a great deal of iron bearing impurities, and showing only about 5 to 10 per cent of clean spar.
One-quarter mile northwest of the main pit, a second pit 50 by 30 by 30 feet deep has been sunk on a dyke of similar character, but carrying
considerable soda spar. The exposed width of dyke here is 25 feet. A third pit consists of a small open-cut, 75 by 25 by 15 feet deep, at the face, run in on a 15-foot dyke. This opening has disclosed a deposit of pink to buff-coloured spar in the floor of the cut, capped by graphic granite. The dyke here is rather flat-lying, with a dip of about 40 degrees. The grade of spar exposed at this point is good and much superior to that in the other openings.
Total production is reported at about 500 tons of No. 1 and No. 2
grades. (Spence 1932)

In pegmatite dyke cutting granite gneiss, crystalline limestone and amphibolite.

The deposit was worked between 1919 and 1926 by P.J. Dwyer, Mount Eagle Feldspar Company and by the Consolidated Feldspar Company. Total production - 455t. It was developed by a side-hill cut (18 m by 6m with a 12-m face) from which an adit was driven 30 m into the hill.
