The Maybee was one of the most developed mines in the Washougal district. It had a small mill and two ~1000' adits at one time. It produced 6 or more wagonloads of mill concentrate in 1917.
The mine was equipped with a cookhouse, an office, and a few bunkhouses. The site was run by a 3' Pelton Wheel under 365' of head fed by Shirt Creek. The compressor was an Ingersoll-Rand #10 type (presumably an imperial Type 10). There were three boilers as well making 140 hp of steam. A small sawmill was set up as well. The mill itself had a steam engine running a Blake jaw crusher, two Nissen stamps, and assorted concentrating equipment including a Pierce amalgamator that was largely ineffective at recovering much of the value of the ore. Tests were made on implementing flotation at the mine but it is unknown if the equipment was ever installed.
