Deposit: A quartz vein 1 to 48 in wide cuts country rock. Stibnite occurs As small pods, streaks, blebs and single crystals.; model name could also be: simple sb. Sutherland mine was first worked in 1870, about 3000 tons of 20% Sb ore was mined prior to 1914. Between 1915 and 1918 it was the largest antimony producer in nevada. Mine was active again in 1948-49. The mine is developed by three adits, a 220-ft. Shaft and a 158-ft. Inclined winze the mine is on the western limb of a NW plunging anticline. ; info.src : 1 pub lit
