'Apophyllite Group'

Habit: Blocky xtls with bevelled corners
Colour: Green, white
Calcite
Formula: CaCO3
Habit: Often as slightly elongated rhombic crystals with modifying forms around the waist.
Colour: White, pale yellowish
Fluorescence: Sometimes fluorescent
Celadonite
Formula: K(MgFe3+◻)(Si4O10)(OH)2
Colour: Green
Description: No crystals. Lines pockets, adjacent to the basalt rock, and underlies the zeolites and other minerals.
'Cyanolite'
Formula: near CaSi4O9 · H2O
Goethite
Formula: Fe3+O(OH)
Gyrolite
Formula: NaCa16Si23AlO60(OH)8 · 14H2O
'Heulandite Subgroup'
Formula: (Na/Ca/K)5-6[Al8-9 Si27-28 O72] · nH2O
Habit: In druses, only a chisel-tip shape is seen. Complete crystals are dominantly rhomb shaped prisms, Modifying faces are generally quite small. Also forms curved crystal aggregates, similar to dolomite.
Colour: Orange, white, pink
Description: Probably the most common mineral. Usually as druses of tiny crystals to a couple millimeters. Frequently as crystals to about 1 cm. Usually forms under stilbite, but occasionally on top of stilbite.
Laumontite
Formula: CaAl2Si4O12 · 4H2O
Habit: Usually in sprays, tufts, and large masses. Also as isolated prismatic crystals.
Colour: White, orange
Mesolite
Formula: Na2Ca2Si9Al6O30 · 8H2O
Colour: White
Description: Walker and Parsons (1922) note that specimens from this central part of the North Mountain, that visually may have been assumed to be natrolite, all turned out to be mesolite when analyzed.
Mordenite
Formula: (Na2,Ca,K2)4(Al8Si40)O96 · 28H2O
Okenite
Formula: Ca10Si18O46 · 18H2O
Prehnite ?
Formula: Ca2Al2Si3O10(OH)2
Description: Mentioned by Gilpin (1881) for this area without any further information. Gilpin was a collection of earlier reports but the only earlier report at all related seems to be How (1863) describing material from Morden that looked like prehnite but the chemistry was wrong. No other reports of this mineral (except relisting of this early report). Without a proper description or analytic work, it is doubtful.

'Stilbite Subgroup'
Formula: M6-7[Al8-9Si27-28O72] · nH2O
Habit: Well formed isolated crystals are common, with well defined faces and sharp edges, coming to a point. It also sometimes forms hemispherical mounds or cigar-shaped aggregates.
Colour: Creamy white to white.
Description: Usually on heulandite, more rarely the heulandite forms on the stilbite.
