Pleistocene (120,000 years BP) basaltic Strombolian cinder cone. Ultramafic, upper mantle xenoliths are found in the pyroclastic deposits. The crater measures 1,300 by 860 m and is 100 m deep. This space is of great geological singularity, made up of an open volcanic cone over the Llémena valley and a wide basaltic lava flow that gave rise to the "Pla de Sant Joan" plain. The last eruption is dated 123,000 years ago. The volcano is located in the Sant Martí de Llémena municipality, close to the village of Llorà.
