It is characterized by a complex assemblage of carbonatite and associated alkaline rocks, mainly syenite, which are crosscut by numerous veins of calcite, quartz, and sulfide minerals like galena. Within this area, augite veins are observed crosscutting intermediate volcanic rocks. The host rocks are typically grey in color and exhibit a porphyritic texture, with K-feldspar and biotite phenocrysts embedded in a fine- to medium-grained groundmass. The sharp contacts between the augite veins and their volcanic hosts indicate that the veins were emplaced after the crystallization of the host rocks.
