The Shangzhuang gold deposit (2.1 t Au, 1.57 g/t) is located in the southeastern Niutougou ore area, in the contact zone between the Taihua Group and Xiong’er Group, and is controlled by the F301 and F302 faults. The late F401–F405 segments of the NE–SWtrending faults cut the ore body into four parts. The early granite porphyry dikes are cut by pyrite-quartz veins. The strike of the Shangzhuang gold deposit is 110–135°, the dip angle is 23–40°, and the width of the gold veins is 2 mm to 3 cm. Some molybdenum veins have been exposed in the tunnel. The width of these veins ranges from 0.1 to 0.3 cm, and they cut the smoky quartz-pyrite veins.
