Albite var. Oligoclase
Formula: (Na,Ca)[Al(Si,Al)Si2O8]
Description: Retrograde alteration product forming - up to 0.1mm plagioclase/diopside symplectite along omphacite grain margins. - coronas of pale geen amphibole/oligioclase coronas along kyanite/omphacite boundaries
'Almandine-Pyrope Series'
Description: Garnets in the almandine-pyrope series occurs as - large pink garnets (up to 1cm) in kyanite eclogites - granoblastic aggregates in 0.5-1mm grains with omphacite,zoisite and (kyainte) with interstitial quartz in quartz-kyanite eclogites and quartz eclogites - partly altered porphyroblasts in amphibole-eclogite The composition ranges from Alm 39-47, spess 1-2, Pyr 27-41, gross 19-24.

'Calcium Amphibole Subgroup'
Formula: AnCa2(Z2+5-mZ3+m)(Si8-(n+m)Al(n+m))(OH,F,Cl)2
Description: Calcium amphiboles occurs in both kyanite-eclogites, quartz bearing kyanite-eclogites, quartz eclogites and in amphibole eclogites. They occur as: - colourless to very pale greenish brown amphiboles as large poikiloblastic crystals several mm across, enclosing smaller kyanite, zoisite and omphacite grains in kyanite-eclogite. - equigranular groundmass with omphacite and kyanite in kyanite-eclogite. - black amphiboles are visible in most hand-specimens of kyanite-eclogite - Rare pale brown grains in the matrix of quartz bearing and as inclusion in garnet from quartz bearing kyanite-eclogite. (pargasite) - 2-5mm large, interlocking prismatic crystals of pale amphibole enclosing and apparently overgrowing smaller grains of garnet, omphacite and rutil.(pargasite) - pale brown grains in the matrix of quartz-eclogite. (Magnesio-hornblende) - parallel-aligned equigranular omphacite, calcium amphibole and kyanite in amphibole eclogite - 2-5mm interlocking prismatic crystals of pale calcic amphibole enclosing and apparently overgrowing smaller garnet,omphacite and rutile Calcium amphiboles also occurs as a retrogression product as - pale green amphibole/oligioclase coronas along kyanite/omphacite boundaries. - bluish green hornblende kelyphitic rims around garnets. The chemical compositions of these amphiboles do not differ significanly; they are all pargasites near the join between pargasite and magnesio-hornblende.
Diopside
Formula: CaMgSi2O6
Description: Diopside occurs with oligioclase in <0.01mm symplectites along the margins of omphacite grains.
Kyanite
Formula: Al2(SiO4)O
Description: Kyanite occurs in kyanite eclogite, quartz bearing kyanite/eclogite and in some amphibole eclogites. It occurs as - kyanite forms the pale bluish-green groundmass together with omphacite and as irregularily oriented laths up to several cm long in kyanite-eclogites - 0.5-1mm kyanite crystals forms glanoblastic aggregates alongside garnet, omphacite and zoisite with interstitial quartz in quarts-kyanite-eclogite.
Magnesio-hornblende
Formula: ◻Ca2(Mg4Al)(Si7Al)O22(OH)2
Description: Rare pale brown grains in the matrix of quartz bearing kyanite-eclogite.
Muscovite
Formula: KAl2(AlSi3O10)(OH)2
Muscovite var. Phengite
Formula: KAl1.5(Mg,Fe)0.5(Al0.5Si3.5O10)(OH)2
Description: Phengite occurs as large (1-3mm) individual flakes aligned roughly with the fabric of the eclogite. Phengite commonly enclode kyanite grains and are closely associated with omphacite.
Omphacite
Formula: (NaaCabFe2+cMgd)(AleFe3+fFe2+gMgh)Si2O6
Description: Omphacite occurs as a fine-grained (normally not more than 1mm) matrix mineral together with kyanite in kyanite-eclogites with and without quartz.
Pargasite
Formula: NaCa2(Mg4Al)(Si6Al2)O22(OH)2
Description: Pargasite occurs in different modes in the eclogites from this locallity: -in kyanite eclogite. Amphiboles occursin three different forms in kyanite-eclogite ( see calcium amphibole group locentry). It is uncler which of these amphiboles that were analysed to be pargasite. - Rare pale brown grains in the matrix of quartz bearing and as inclusion in garnet from quartz bearing kyanite-eclogite. - 2-5mm large, interlocking prismatic crystals of pale amphibole enclosing and apparently overgrowing smaller grains of garnet, omphacite and rutil. The chemical compositions of these amphiboles do not differ significanly; they are all pargasites near the join between pargasite and magnesio-hornblende.

Description: zoisite occurs as aggregates of paralell-aligned very elongated (up to 2mm long and 0.1mm wide) crystals closely associated and often embedded in kyanite and amphibole.
