Köppen climate type:
The exposed strata in Shiganghe area comprise Cambrian, Ordovician, Carboniferous, and Quaternary, with the Cambrian Hetaoping Formation (∈3h) being widespread. The Zhibenshan anticline and the Shiganghe recumbent fold present in the deposit, with crisscrossing and intercutting fault structures. Magmatic rocks are dominated by the Zhibenshan migmatitic granite, with minor dolerite, diorite–gabbro, medium-coarse-grained and medium-fine-grained granites. Ore bodies are generally vein-like and arranged in parallel, with a small portion being podiform or lenticular. The majority of ore bodies are hosted within the interlayer fracture zones developed at the outer contact belt of the Zhibenshan pluton, with ore grade increasing with the intensity of silicification and tourmalinization alteration. The upper portion of the ore bodies are dominated by tungsten, corresponding to a tourmaline–scheelite ore type, whereas the lower portions contain both W and Sn, characteristic of a quartz–tourmaline–cassiterite–scheelite ore type.
