Yunling Sn deposit
The Yunling tin deposit is located on the eastern margin of the Baoshan Block and contains an estimated 7400 t of Sn with an average grade of 1.5 %. The exposed stratigraphic units in the ore district primarily consists of the Cambrian Chujiashan Formation, the Devonian Wangjiacun Formation, the Carboniferous Pingzhang Formation, and the Jurassic Luziqing Formation.
The Yunling Sn ore bodies are primarily controlled by structural features, with mineralization occurring in the structural fracture zones of the Yunling pluton. In total, 48 Sn ore bodies have been delineated in the Yunling deposit. The main ore bodies are predominantly distributed in a near-NS-trending structural zone, with V10, V12 and V17 being the most significant, collectively accounting for 70 % of the total reserves in the Yunling deposit. The V10 and V12 ore bodies, situated in the central part of the deposit, are vein-type and trend NW. The average Sn grades of V10 and V12 are 1.5 % and 2.6 %, respectively. In contrast, the V17 ore body, situated in the northeastern part of the deposit, occurs within a near-SN-trending vein and features an average Sn grade of 1.7 %. Three primary mineralization stages of the Yunling tin deposit have been identified: the quartz-cassiterite-muscovite-tourmaline stage (Stage I), arsenopyrite-sulfide-cassiterite-quartz stage (Stage II), and arsenopyrite-calcite-quartz stage (Stage III).
