Type:
The Govin prospect area with about 100 km2 coverage is situated 60 km northeast of Sirjan at Kerman province, in geographic latitude 3,299,400 to 3,309,600 N and longitude 390,700 to 403,850 E. Govin is a low-sulfidation epithermal deposit that explored around the Sar-Cheshmeh and Darreh-Zar porphyry copper deposits at the first time and characterized by the assemblage quartz-sulfide‑gold‑iron oxides. The Govin discovery is significant because it is the first epithermal gold deposit found at the around of Sar-Cheshmeh and Darreh-Zar porphyry copper deposits, thus showing metallogenic potential of the region for gold and polymetallic vein systems.
