One of the most important between the several talc mines and quarries that exist around La Vajol. From a geological viewpoint, the mineralization was formed in the contact area between the Iberian and European continental plates, depositing large amounts of talc due to dynamic and regressive metamorphism of dolomitic marbles under extreme conditions of pressure, temperature and the availability of water, resulting in changing the dolomite into hydrosilicates.
