Skjellevik, Selvågen
Mineralization consisting of fine-grained pyrite layers and pyrite aggregates within greenschists. An adit has been driven about 140 metres into the mountain, probably to meet pyrite mineralization exposed in a small open pit approx. 100 metres above the adit.
Operations for mining of pyrite were run from 1890 to 1909 by Det Bergenske Gruveselskap and later by a German mining company. Activities ended in 1910.
There are reports of several other outcrops, small pits and trenches with pyrite mineralization in the close vicinity.
