Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

The ore-related Late Jurassic granites were emplaced into the Mesoproterozoic Guandaokou Group and Luanchuan Group. The Guandaokou Group is mainly represented by the Baishugou Formation, which is dominated by dolomitic marble, locally with sericite schist, spanning a thickness of 860–1160 m. The Luanchuan Group is stratigraphically arranged from top to bottom, consisting of the Yuku, Dahongkou, Meiyaogou, Nannihu, and Sanchuan Formations. The Sanchuan and Meiyaogou Formation marble, schist, and quartzite are the major host rocks of the skarn ores.
The Mo-W orebodies mainly occur as veins and bedded or lenticular ores adjacent to the contact zone between plutons and marble and (or) hornfels. In general, the W mineralization primarily developed in skarns, some also containing Mo ores. The skarn mineralization processes at Yuku can be classified into a prograde stage, a retrograde stage, and a late stage.
