The group of granite pegmatites comprising the Muzeinaya vein crops out on the left side of River Kukhilal (Kuhi Laldara), ca. 1.5 km from its mouth, within the boundaries of the famous Kukh-i-Lal spinel deposit.

The pegmatite veins are hosted in magnesite marble of the Precambrian Goran suite. The contact between the pegmatite veins and marble is zoned. From the external surface of pegmatite to the embedding marble, the following zones have been detected:
- phlogopitic (phlogopite 80-100%, sometimes with cordierite up to 20%);
- talcous (talc 95-100%, tremolite up to 5%);
- spinel-phlogopite-enstatitic (enstatite 60-70%, phlogopite 10-20%, spinel 5-10%, forsterite up to 5%);
- tremolitic (tremolite 95-100%, talc and phlogopite up to 5%).

Muzeinaya vein is a quartz-microcline-oligoclase pegmatite with graphic and apographic texture in which are present numerous small miaroles lined with crystals of quartz, orthoclase, albite, muscovite, dravite, etc. Accessory minerals include cordierite, andalusite, apatite, monazite, cassiterite, columbite-(Mg), zircon, rutile (also Nb-rich), uranopolycrase, etc. (Labuntsov, 1930; Matias et al. 1963; Rossovskii, 1963; Kornetova et al., 1971; Pautov et al. 2018).

Muzeinaya vein is the type locality for columbite-(Mg), a new mineral first found in 1958 by A.N. Shostatskii and described by Matias et al. (1963) as magnocolumbite. It name was changed to the current form in 2008 (Burke, 2008). This mineral, which appears as short-prismatic black crystals with red-brown reflexes often strictly associated with Nb-rich rutile (ilmenorutile), formed under the very unusual condition of Mg saturation and the virtual absence of Fe (Matias et al., 1963; Rossovskii, 1963; Kornetova et al., 1971; Pekov, 1998).
