Wolframite mineralization in quartz veins embedded in Cambrian schists exploited in the 40s to 60s of the 20th century.
Recent investigations reveal that at depth the veins fit into granites and there the tungsten mineralization is scheelite rather than wolframite.
In the Penouta deposit in Boal, Asturias, the same thing happens: in the slate cover the veins are made of quartz and wolframite while the intragranitic veins are made of quartz and scheelite.
