The Nalinggou U deposit is situated at the southern periphery of the Yimeng uplift in the northeastern region of the Ordos Basin. It is also in close proximity to the Hetao graben to the north. U mineralization primarily takes place in the braided river sandstone of the lower member of the Zhiluo Formation during the Middle Jurassic period. This sandstone can be further categorized into three distinct zones: the paleo-oxidation zone, the redox (ore) zone, and the reduction zone. The braided river in the ore-bearing layer sedimentary period had a strong effect on the Yan'an Formation, which led to the denudation of the top part of the Yan'an Formation and formed a channel erosion surface. Many coal seams are in direct contact with the conglomerate layer at the bottom of the ore-bearing layer, providing a channel for the migration of the underlying fluids. The U orebody exhibits a distribution pattern extending from the northeast to the southwest. It spans a considerable length and width, ranging from hundreds to thousands of meters. The thickness of the orebody varies from several to tens of meters. On average, the orebody demonstrates a grade exceeding 0.05 % U. The front of pale-oxidation controls it and it is produced in the redox zone on the plane. They are all tabular orebody, which is obviously controlled by the green sandstone in the pale-oxidation zone and gray sandstone in the redox zone, mainly produced in the gray sandstone far from the top and bottom ore-bearing layer on section.
