A former underground Pb-Cu-Ag-Au mine located in the SE¼ sec. 35, T2S R11E.(Mineral Mountain 7.5 minute topo map), about 2 miles (3.22 km) NW of Bell Butte and about 3.25 miles (ca. 5 km) NE of Mineral Mountain, on private land. Produced 1915-1916. Operator B.D. Johnson, Fallen (1918)(up to Ralph Pomeroy (1953)). Owner Mineral Mountain Mining and Milling Co.; Hurley New Mexico Copper Co (1925); W.C. Smith (1948).

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a tabular orebody striking N40W and dipping 60W, at 54.25 meters thick, 4.57 meters wide, and 944.88 meters long, hosted in Pinal Schist. Ore control was a N40°W-trending fissure vein. Area structures include a NNW-striking vein and fault system. The vein was mapped as a fault south of the mine. Mineralization includes secondary copper minerals. The vein reportedly contained a 2 feet (ca. 61 cm) wide zone of solid Galena.

Workings include many drifts and crosscuts.

Regional structures include 15.8-17.4 M.Y. Quartz latite dikes 1.5 miles (2.41 km) W of the mine.

A site visit during February 2007 revealed a small open shaft with a vertical component approximately 30 feet (ca. 9 m) deep, that then deviates to one side along the vein and seemingly continues downward vertically to an unknown depth. This opening is seemingly not suited to hoisting commercial quantities of ore and appears to be an exploratory shaft. The mine dump is small. A very large concrete multi-story mill foundation structure is built into the hillside on the opposite side of the wash. There are no mill tailings piles. The conditions observed support the stated short production period, or no production, reflected in the literature.
