A salt-gypsum-anhydrite-limestone-S deposit located 0.9 km (0.6 miles) NNE of Hoskins, 15 miles NE of Freeport, on private land. Operated from 1923 to 1955. Operated by the Freeport Sulphur Company. Dome and sulfur shows were found during an oil test in 1903. Sulfur tests and a gravity survey were conducted by the Texas Company during the period 1915 to 1920. Acquired by Freeport in 1922. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is a shallow piercement salt dome. The ore body has a depth-to-bottom of 731.52 meters and a depth-to-top of 259.08 meters. Local rocks include rocks of the Beaumont Formation, areas predominantly sand.

Workings included the Frasch process of sulfur production.

Production data are found in Halbouty, Michel T. (1979).
