Mr. Reza Eslami Fetrat, a frequent traveler to the Lut desert, found a single large (17 kg) meteorite in the Kalout region on December 8, 2013. The meteorite was partly buried in sand. The meteorite was loaned to Hassan Mirnejad at University of Tehran for initial examination. Two pieces (21 and 20 g) were given to University of Tehran and CEREGE for classification and research.

The meteorite is a single rusted and fractured stone with chondrules in recyrstallized matrix. Most metal and sulfide grains are weathered. Veins filled with weathering products crisscross the meteorite.

Olivine Fa18.4±0.2 (n=4). Orthopyroxene Fs16.4±0.3Wo1.1±0.1 (n=4). Magnetic susceptibility log χ = 4.67 (χ in 10-9 m3/kg).
