First worked as Great Michell Consols from 1848 until its abandonment in 1848. The set was then worked as Great Onslow Consols from 1851 till around 1870-1880 (HJ)

The mine is well known for the unique siderite crystals it produced.

During 1853-6 and 1860, the mine produced 935 tons of 3.5% copper ore, and from 1856-60, tons of pyrite (Dines)
