A former Mn occurrence/mine located in the NW¼ sec. 9, T24S, R25E and/or in the NW¼SE¼NW¼ sec. 10, T24S, R25E, G&SRM, about 9 miles (ca. 14 km) SE of Bisbee and approximately 1.5 miles (2.41 km) NW of the Christiansen Ranch; a little more than 1 mile (1.61 km) N of the Mexican border, on private (patented) land. Discovered about 1917. Re-discovered in 1954. This property is a group of more than 30 claims. Most ore was found on only 2 claims. Owned by the Shattuck family and Earnest Beyer (1961-). Operated by the Marguette and Arizona Copper Company.

Mineralization is a Mn deposit hosted in the Late Cretaceous Glance Conglomerate. The orebody is irregular in form, strikes N25E, dips 80W at a thickness of 2.44 meters and a length of 76.2 meters. Controls for ore emplacement included fissure zones. The ore is in stringers, veinlets and small, irregular bunches along fissure zones in conglomerate. Another deposit strikes N15W and dips steeply westward. It is exposed for a length of 80 feet (ca. 24 m) or more, and the mineralized intervals range from 2 feet (ca. 61 cm) to 4 feet (1.22 m) in width. Psilomelane occurs in narrow stringers and small, irregular bunches. Local rocks include Cretaceous to Late Jurassic sedimentary rocks with minor volcanic rocks.

Workings include surface openings comprised of open cuts. The largest open cut is about 80 feet (ca. 24 m) long, 6 feet (1.83 m) to 8 feet (2.44 m) wide, and 4 feet (1.22 m) to 8 feet (2.44 m) deep. Much of the material removed was rejected as waste. Also, there are two shallow cuts about 40 feet (ca. 12 m) apart. One is 15 feet (4.57 m) long, the other is about 30 feet (ca. 9 m) long.

Production included two carloads of sorted Mn oxides in 1917-1918 and a few truck loads in 1954.
