Barranco del Forau de O y puertos de Gias, Clarabide y O (Oô); Benasque, Huesca, Aragón, España
The Forau de O (Oô in french) ravine is a lateral valley of the Estós Valley, which empties into it on its left side, from the North. It covers from the Estós Valley to the French border, covering the Forau de O, the Gías and O lakes, and the peaks and passes of Clarabide, Gourgs Blancs and Tuca de O. In the area there outcrops a granite of the porphyritic type (porphyroid granodiorites), with large orthoclase crystals of up to 7 cm, generally twinned according to the Carlsbad law. The weathering has exposed the feldspar crystals on the surfaces of the rock and has even freed them completely. Other minerals present in the granodiorite are quartz, biotite, andesine and other sodium plagioclases; as accessories rutile and sphene.
