According to Wikipedia, Çubuk is a town and district of Ankara Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, outside the city of Ankara.

From Mayer (2013): "Only in the last 15 years have agates from Turkey become well known. Of special note are those from Cubuk, about 40 kilometers from the capital, Ankara. Most of these specimens are thunder eggs, but a few nodules also appear. Although the earliest agates found were predominantly of dark, black, or grey colors, within the last five years beautifully colored examples have surfaced."
