Although the precise location of this pegmatite zone is not yet known, it is probably within one of the intrusive stocks that generated the skarns that produce the famous amethyst quartz and grossular garnets. Quite a bit of material has been emerging over the last 3 years, so the diggings can't be trivial. More information is actively being sought. (Peter Megaw, 2018).

The first material I saw was 1 cm lustrous orange balls of what looked like stellerite on typical orthoclase-albite-smoky quartz pegmatite matrix. We now know that the orange balls are stilbite-Na, but stellerite, heulandite-Ca and clinoptilolite are present as colorless to cream colored micro crystals. Plates to 30 cm of iron-oxide stained smoky quartz (to 5 cm) and blocky orthoclase (2-4 cm) with clinochlore have emerged more recently. Stubby black tourmaline and brilliant sharp yellow to yellow orange titanite crystals to 5 mm are also plentiful. Odd looking radial fibrous growths of lilac-colored aragonite to 7 cm were also found at the location. (Peter Megaw, 2018).
